| Katkat, I have a feeling you should buy one semi locally as opposed to going to a Louisiana swamp and plucking one then bringing it home and saying "ha look, frost tonight". What are you planning? I love bald cypress. Have ya read up on planting guides are is a company going to plant ya a big one? |

| i am thinking you think this is some rare exotic ... its not .. i got mine.. 6 foot whips [just a stinkin stick.. no branches] ... in a one gallon pot filled with sand .... wrapped in a plastic bag ... at big lot ... for ten bucks ... 10 years ago ... frankly.. i did not expect them to live.. lol .. 10 years later.. they are going on about 30 feet ... full blistering winter winds [which is irrelevant with a deciduous conifer] .... z5.. just south of ann arbor.. aka adrian MI ... no real need to buy a large one ...as once they get going .... there is no holding them back .. ken |
