| During the summer I had a trip to Italy and saw an unusual tree (for me:). Somebody can tell me what is it? Beautiful fruits. Tree was great ....

| looks like apricots to me, especially considering the furry skin. Which part of italy was that? That could help with the id |

| It grows near Garda lake - north Italy, but the fruits were more like small orange apples. Leaves not as apricot - very bumpy surface... Ireena |

| Thank you for idea!:) Eriobotrya japonica - it's latin name. It turns out that the fruit is also edible... It also seemed, looked delicious :) Ireena |

| Too bad you didn't try any. They probably had them in the markets, if there were a lot of them around. |

| It makes a good sweet jam, not that yummy to just eat. The birds love them. Here they reseed everywhere. |
