Sarah's Favorite Crape Mrytle

Hello all...

Was thinking of planting another crape myrtle in my yard.
I live in Pittsburgh and have a Hopi that is doing very well and was thinking of planting either a Sarah's Favorite, Tonto, or maybe Acoma. I just wonder how big will Sarah's Favorite really get. It's suppose to get 15-25 ft tall but I wonder if it really does in zone 6. Anyone growing Sarah's Favorite or the others I mentioned, please let me know how they do for you.

Thanks.

I'm not personally familiar with this particular hybrid., but it is reported to be hardier than the gorgeous Natchez, which can probably be found in your area. I'd give it plenty of space to grow properly without pruning and hope for the best.

phyleux,
The local botanical garden had Sarah's Favorite that were every bit of 15-20+ feet. Turned very nice color in the fall, and had great exfoliating bark every bit as nice as Natchez IMHO. Alas they were frozen last winter during extreme cold (-22 degrees F at the botanical garden) and deep snow. Not sure if they have come back from the roots or not. They are purported to be the most cold tolerant Crape Mrytle
