What type of elm is this?

This elm does not have the typical V shape shown by its counterparts planted nearby, instead it displays a very nice layered tiered look with beautiful lush dense and thick textured foliage. The others planted nearby are American elms (likely seed grown) of open gangly growth and not showing any uniformity between them. Is this superior tree also an American elm, possibly a recognizable named cultivar? Elms are heavily planted in my zone 3 region, though I've never before seen one of this form and having such very nice foliage.

Thanks!
