The beautiful dense foliage has very thick heavy substance ... I love this tree :)

Need a closer closeup of twigs/leaves. Are the leaves fuzzy? Any cork on the twigs? Offhand, looks like rock elm (Ulmus thomasii).

It may be one of the more recent DED resistant hybrids...some of them deviate from the traditional American Elm form. It also looks like it's not getting enough nitrogen (yellowish leaves) compared to the Elm behind it. It may simply lack the nutrients to throw out the long arching shoots that eventually allow the tree to develop its characteristic form.

Beng, I had compared this tree with the description of rock elm, though the branches are smooth and no fuzz is seen on the back of the leaves.

Smivies, yes, I had noted that it seemed to have been just a slight bit anemic looking, but also beginning to show fall color, the foliage otherwise looked very healthy and lush. The region is known for having very deep fertile soil, so I don't imagine it would be struggling from a lack of nutrients. Anyways, I'm gonna attempt to propagate it to enjoy in my own yard.

Perhaps a too-high soil pH, as opposed to actual nutrient deficiency. Def. looks chlorotic.
