This lady is moving and said I could have anything planted in her yard. I like the look of this small tree/shrub and she does not know the name of it. Its planted in shade but not sure if its a shade plant or not. It seems to have a suckering habit as there more than one but she said she only planted 1 any ideas?

If it helps the bark on it reminds me alot of redbud and has the same texture...

No question - that's Itea virginica.

Virginia Sweetspire will sucker freely in soils it enjoys growing in, which should allow you to harvest as many individual plants as you'd like to divide from the original parent plant.
