When One Branch Changes Colors Before The Rest

Hey folks,

There's a tree next door that's probably 50' in height. Some kind of maple. It's been trimmed so that all the branches are 20'-30' from the bottom. One of the first branches that shoots out from it has all of it's leaves change to fall colors about a month before the rest of the tree. Could this be an indication that this branch is sick and may fall soon? Or is this common and nothing to think twice about? It seems healthy otherwise. If the branch falls, it'll land on my shed and do severe damage, so I'll want to take care of it before it does.

Thanks
