Double Crotch in Tree

I set out a Chinese Pistache tree this fall. Unfortunately, the only decent looking one the local nursery had was this one. My question is when should I remove one of the leaders. Should I wait until next fall, that way the tree will have more leaves to use in photosynthesis and be more established? Should I go ahead and cut one of the leaders now and the root system will have less tree to provide for.
