just insure they do NOT dry.. all winter... but insure proper drainage ...

you dont mention your soil ... nor where you are.. so i cant be more specific ...

did you mulch them ...

and feeding a stressed plant will not help ....

can the nursery at least give you a few names on the planes ... to narrow it down ..

i cant do it.. but the peeps who might.. need at a min.. pic of the leaf.. and the whole tree ..

and it might be real tough .. on a young tree ... especially the plane.. because it can take 20 years for bark to mature into recognizable patterns ....

Sorry I should have discussed soil...

that area was heavy clay, i've worked in some mulch and compost (free at our town recycling center!) into the top few inches of the soil.

I plan to mulch this weekend.

What do I do during the winter to prevent them from drying out....actually water them with a soaker hose or spray 'em with wilt pruf?
