Creeping Jenny or Lysmachia does good in wet/ moist soil. I don't have enough to share but the are pretty common in nurseries. I have it under my trees that are in the lower yard where rainwater sticks around for a while.

Sorry Brandon. I will delete if I can.

you can not delete ..

i dont think brandon cares where you post..

i bet his comment was more for you to realize .. you might be more successful elsewhere ...

you ought to contact your county extension and/or soil conservation district offices.. and discuss such with them ... it is.. by definition soil conservation when you are trying to stabilize a stream bank ... and when doing such.. you should be using NATIVES.. rather than free stuff ...

it is VERY IMPORTANT.. that you use the right plant.. so you dont create invasive problems downstream .. and frankly .... creeping jenny is one of the most invasive plants i ever had in my garden ...

do it right.. even if it cost money .. this isnt a location to screw around in.. IMHO ...

Willows, and lots of them.

What Ken said!

But my suggestion would be Itea virginica. Flowers, GORGEOUS fall color, and excellent suckering shrub for erosion control. I linked a google search for you. Too many good links to pick just one.
