Does Chinese Wingnut have wildlife value?

I was just looking at a specimen (Pterocarya stenoptera) today at the MN Landscape Arboretum that was loaded with seeds, and was wondering if any animals or birds would feed on one if planted on my property? There's not much info online, but it is a member of the walnut family, which makes me wonder if squirrels, turkeys, bluejays, etc would eat the pea-sized nuts.

Also, all the info I've found states it's only hardy to Zone 6. Ha! No one told that to this particular tree, it seems. Even though it was in a sheltered location, it was at the bottom of a hill where cold air would pool, and has definitely seen -25F or worse.
