One of the best small trees for Fall scent! Smells like cotton candy in the Fall and does not look that bad either.

Oh and by small, I mean small SHADE Tree. This is not a service berry or crab apple, it does get big.

Nice looking specimen, I like them best with one single stem. They get quite big eventually, in Japan they might reach 150 feet. They need a lot of water to get real big though, both ground water and air humidity. Thay are more or less wetland trees, even if they do fine in dryer sites to.

Specimens 80' tall plus reported from PA, IN and CT during the 1980s. The one in PA had a trunk more than 20' around, was planted in 1890.
