It is an incredible tree. Does anybody have this tree or has any suggestion of how to get it to central Iowa?

Greer gardens has it frequently. I asked them if grafted or from cuttings, and it was through cutting propagation, so that is good since Toona sinensis tends to dieback.

Here is a link that might be useful: greer toona

RE: Toona sinensis "Flamingo"

I bought 3 very small/cheap ones from Greer last fall. They came through the mild winter fine and grew like crazy when we had a couple of weeks in the 80's in March. Then a couple freezes in April whacked them back to the ground. 1 died, one grew back a couple of feet, the third grew about 4 feet and got crushed by a frost a couple of weeks ago. They aren't bad looking plants, though not as spectacular as you see in some pictures on the internet. I doubt that they will ever get real big in zone 5b, if they live long at all.
