| I'm getting a little color out of this tree this Fall.
Calocedrus decurrans on the left and Chamaecyparis obtusa, 'Gracilis' on the right.

| I've seen very few of these in my area. Not certain as to why, as they should be fine in the climate. The few I've seen in nurseries, and the one in the botanical garden, have not produced eye catching color. It may be that there are more that I just have not noticed. Arktrees |

| The variety P. pseudocamellis's Fall color had been a disappointment to me. I'm about to cut one down in front of my house that's about twenty feet tall. I'll leave the other one...for now. Mike |

| Whoa! The post above refers to Stewartia, not Parrotia. It should have been in the Stewartia post. It's saying I like the Stewartia monadelpha better than the more popular S. pseudocamellia. |

| Lots of great red fall color on specimens of the Korean/Japanese stewartia around here this month. |
