| Can someone please confirm the type of tree this is. I believe it to be from what I can find to be a narrowleafed Cottonwood but everything says that it should not be growing in my neck of the woods.

| Looks like a type of Oak. Perhaps willow oak perhaps (Quercus phellos). |

| Looks fairly Oak like....I might suggest Q. laurifolia. Leaf looks too wide to be Q. phellos. |

| It looks too wide to be Quercus phellos. Perhaps a hybrid? Or what about Quercus imbricaria? AKA Shingle Oak. I think my best guess would be Quercus hemisphaerica aka. Laurel Oak. |

| I'm guessing Q. imbricaria but as Ken said knowing where the tree is might make a difference. |
