| Hi!
My father in law bought a bunch of plants from a nursery going out of business. I've managed to ID all except these two, "Evergreen A" and "Evergreen B". A is about 5 ft. tall, B is maybe 2.5' tall, and looks like it's been pruned to attain the upright shape. I don't suppose anyone smarter than me could ID these, please? http://s1062.beta.photobucket.com/user/himynameisjonc/library/Mystery% 20Evergreens Thanks so much! --JC |

| hey any chance those CONES .. on the 2nd.. smell like gin when crushed ??? ... if so.. juniper ... as to which.. you will need coniferjoy in the conifer forum ... for a precise name ... though others here might get it ... i cant tell the first at that distance.. but again.. conifer ... when some needles are crushed .. gin again??? seems to be a theme here ... in PB.. paste the HTML code where you type.. and on preview.. if you see the pix.. we will ... both have vast potential.. no closer than about 6 feet to the house.. as a planting site ... ken |

| Top one is a Juniperus chinensis cultivar, most likely 'Torulosa'. The bottom one is one of the threadleaf/gold cultivars of Chamaecyparis pisifera, such as Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Filifera Aurea'. |
