Good picture toronado! It looks like you may have gotten a bit more snow than we did near Montgomery City. We have some snow caps on the bunching grasses and some of the tree trunks but only about 1/2" on the ground. Most of the streets are clear this am.

I agree with beng. Years ago there was that elaborate website (some student's undergraduate research project) of all the US's known big Metasequoias, planted in the 40s. There were big ones everywhere including the midwest where early (fall) and late (spring) freezes are an especially common problem. These plants have so much energy they just seem to plow right through such setbacks.
