If You had to pick one over the other....

This is a more southern (maybe zones 6-9) tree lovers question. I have a kinda soggy soil area in my yard. I have many well drained areas, which I have trees to plant in. But, I want to remove an ugly leaning apple tree. It is in a soggy area, unless it doesn't rain for a while. I LOVE the look of Quercus Nigra, in it's pictures online. I have seen some pics of Q. Laurifolia, online. I kinda want, NO I really want an opinion. Would you plant Q. Laurifolia (Laurel oak) or Q. Nigra, First? I guess they are BOTH short lived "Garbage" oaks. I wouldn't bother with either, but, the Q. Nigra in pictures really looks like a Live oak from a distance. Would you go with Nigra or Laurifolia in zone 6 soggy soil area? Poaky1
