aggressive growth is dependent on how fast it gets RE-established ... and how much it will grow.. until then .... is completely speculative ....

it is stressed until such ... it is not hungry ... i would NOT fert it ... ever ...

as far as i am concerned... all it needs next year.. is proper watering ...see link for a discussion of such

It will probably grow 1-2'. I recently planted a LIttle Gem and a Kay Perris both about double the size of yours and that is what they grew last year. One was moved in late fall, the other in early spring. They each grew about the same.

They seem to settle in fairly quickly in our climate. Mulch and water as needed and they should be good to go.

in my MI z5 ... with probably half the growing season of jons AR ....

i would never expect that growth rate ...

heck.. mine would be coming out of dormancy in mid may.. while jons would probably have going strong since what... late feb???? .. and therein lies the difference .... near on 6 weeks of root growth ...

i am guessing on these dates for jon .... so if need be.. correct me ...

Me and jon are both in the same zone and same state so i hope i can get 2 ft worth of growth.
