Carpinus betulus 'Pendula'

Hy,
is it true that Carpinus betulus 'Pendula' is not flowering and so it won't produce any fruit? Any experience with that?

Hallo,
No, that's not true. Carpinus betulus 'Pendula' is one of those "cultivars" without clear identity (multiple versions claim the name). But at least a few other cultivars have been produced as seedlings of 'Pendula'.

So you mean that some plants may produce seeds and some not?

Well, possibly, but I'd really expect them all to be capable of producing seed at maturity.
