| I've found several of these nuts in my backyard, but don't know what they're from. No shell, no stems, etc. Any ideas?

| Better pics would help, but with what we have to work with, I concur with hrigsby in that hickory is most likely. Why do you want to know? John |

| Thanks! Hickory it is, probably shagbark. I ask because the nuts are unlike any I see from trees in my yard or across the street. There are some hickories in the area, so my squirrel friends must have left me some treats! VINCE |
