I am starting a new garden and thought I would bury the 5/8" rubber soaker hoses in my raised beds. I called Orbit and was told they will be discontinued, and the mfg has gone out of bidness because of all the problems with them. he rec'd the 1/4" soaker tubes...

the problem ,he said, was they couldnt find a binder for the rubber that would work in the long run. the hoses tended to leak and disintegrate.
