Orbit makes hose end timers and they offer a 6 year warranty. Not sure if you have tried that brand or not. Here is a link, they are the ones that have a part number that begin with a 6.

Melnor and Gardena, both battery-powered, have done well for years in my garden. Gardena also has a durable mechanical version.

Melnor has one that has no batteries and goes by gallons, not time. Costs about $15, dies in about three years.

I just picked up a nice Orbit setup at Costco for $41.
Came with the brass 4 way faucet splitter, timer, and 3 of the regulators...and batteries.
