Well / irrigation pump

I recently finished repairing my sprinkler system. The system worked fine for 3 months and then a line on the output blew out. NP... I fixed and added an inline hose bibb (one was already there) it now it sucks mostly air. It "may" eventually prime and run normally.

I closed any leaks that might be present on the inlet side (I don't know how deep the well is) with Marinetex, and hoped the problem would be gone, but no.

It's a pretty simple system... one line in, one out with a valve to disable the 4 zone sprinklers and the hose bibbs are inline with the outlet line before the valve. Funny but when there is no pressure (no hose attached) it blows out like there's nothing wrong.

When the output blew it was spitting water for a few hours could the impeller be bad?

ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, just where do I find the check valve?

TIA,

Gary
