Watering Setup

I have a hobby greenhouse. IM wanting to setup a watering system inside it. I bought some misting nozzles at ACF greenhouse. Its 4 nozzles, 3 of which are for misting, one for cooling. Would a 115 volt transfer pump do the job. The one I have my eye on is at lowes for 88 dollars. It pumps 300 gallons per hr, or 5 gallons per minute. Since It 110, it would be easy to put a timer on it, unlike my 12 volt pump. I want to use 1/2 in pvc and secure it to the ceiling and have it setup to my 55 gallon rain barrel. The pump also has a filter to prevent small stuff from plugging itup. If I set this up on a timer would it work? I didnt want to get the solenoid valve and all that expensive stuff. Also wouldnt this help my cooling in the house?
