Pond/Lake water irrigation

Hello,

I have a fairly large beaver pond in my backyard that I want to hook up to my underground irrigation system to water my lawn. The pond is about 50 feet from my house and about 4 feet deep. The water is pretty dark/murky. I was thinking about a submersible pump with a self cleaning filter. Can anyone offer any advice? Has anyone done this before? Thanks for the help!
