I had some raindrip or toro black poly I used for hooking up runs of dripline that was really nice, thick walled and sturdy. I grabbed a roll the other day at home depot and didn't check on it, and it was made by misterlanscape, very thin walled and I didn't like it at all. Plus if you mix and match hose, they will need different fittings. Not all 1/2" pipe is created eaqual. Some use compression fittings like the raindrip, toro uses slip in the pipe fittings and the two don't mix well unless you go to threaded couplings. Hope this helps some.

ok here is the deal. there are different grades of poly. 100 psi is all you need for free flowing pressure(sprinkler heads on it). 160 psi poly is thicker and more expensive and used for constant pressure( ran to a spicket or other water source where constant pressure is intact). go to oilcreek.com. they provide pro quality poly.
