What is the cost of kit and fully built version. Where does this get mounted? I would assume close to the controller(outside or inside?)because more wires are going to the controller. Is its connection to the computer wireless? Looks intriguing. Could I go on the internet from a remote location and reprogram or reset my controller? Aloha

You can mount it where you normally mount your sprinkler controller. Note that OpenSprinkler is a fully featured controller itself -- you connect it directly to your station valves and it does not require any other controller.

It has a wired Ethernet port, but doesn't have a WiFi chip on board. However, you can use it with a WiFi repeater or bridge to get Wireless connection. Detailed are explained here:

Yes, you can access it from a remote location if you set up 'port forward' on your main router. 'port forwarding' is a standard feature on all routers. Then you can set schedules or reset your controller from a remote location.
