I read the literature and it says there is a release tab you pull back on. The key is to release the metal ring that gives the fitting gripping pressure. Can you find the release tab?

Thanks Aloha. A few minutes ago I went back out and gave it another try.

For others who may have trouble, you push down on the release collar and then push the tubbing in and then pull out. Doing that released it from the "teeth" in the collar.
