If you can't apply heat to the nozzle somehow and it appears you can't with the rubber coating on the nozzle, there are maybe three options possible. Other forum members please make suggestions that I have overlooked. 1) Get a hold of two long pliers. One on the nozzle and one on hose end fitting and turn the two pliers in opposite directions. Turn the hose end (male-end) fitting counterclockwise. Place a rag between the pliers and nozzle to keep damage to the rubber handle to a minimum. 2) Buy a new segment of hose and a new nozzle. This not an overly expensive option. 3) Assuming the nozzle still functions properly, cut the hose near old nozzle and install quick-coupling fittings to the two hose ends. Talk to your irrigation supply, landscaping supply or hardware supply store the the quick-coupling fittings. You can also make the entire hose quick-coupling so that you can store the hose out of sight when not in use. This scenario is more expensive but saves time screwing on the hose each time. Aloha
