Length of Buried Pipe for Gutter Downspout

We have some drainage issues and it was suggested that we bury our downspout. Unfortunately, our yard is flat so we would need to have two rather long pvc pipe that connect to the downspout buried. The length is around 100'. Is this peculiarly long for a buried downspout pipe, and would this cause any kind of blockage/erosion issues in the future?

BS,

If your yard is flat, yes. You need to have at a 1% slope away from the house. That is a 1 foot per 100 foot fall away from the downspout. If it much less than that, the pipe will silt up unless periodically forcefully flushed out. Do you have that? Otherwise you would be looking at a catchment and sump pump system(rainbarrel). Which isn't a bad way to go. Aloha
