Installing Well Pump and Development of Well for irrigation

I have a new well installed.....25 feet deep and GW is at 14. The pipe is 1.25 inch in size. I would like to develop the well and install the 1hp pump myself. (I was quoted $1,500 to do this work and it includes a Goulds pump). I was wondering if anyone knows any web-sites or other areas where i could find out exactly how to do this myself. Thanks,

Look at what a 1 HP pump and system would cost and see how much money you actually save by DIY. What flow rate are you expecting from 1.25" pipe well? Is 1HP over kill and will over-tax your well? Describe what type of 1 HP well pump you plan to use. Give us a description of what your well pump installer is going to do for $1,500. Aloha

Ah......okay. He is going to literally supply the Goulds 1 hp pump (GT10). He is going to develop the well and hook up the pump to the well and make it ready for the irrigation company to just connect it to the sprinkler system. I don't know what flow rate to expect, but most folks that live in the area have no problems with water supply. Additionally, the person who gave me the price (comes recommended by the irrigation company) to install the pump and well said to me that it should be fine.
