you need to describe your system in detail. Does your system use a pressure tank? Detail things like that. Is your pump set to turn on automatic or manual? What turns on your pump? If the pressure minimum limit is 38, does your pump not turn on or runs continuous? More info please. JMHO Aloha

I am planning on installing a well on my property for an irrigation system. I am doing this because I work with someone who has the machinery to install the well for free for me and also the cost of municipal water is only going to go up. However, I dont really know what steps I need to perform after the well is installed and what is the best equipment for this particular job. I know that my house will need between 7 and 9 zones and will require approx 1,100 feet of piping. I got these numbers from a quote that someone gave me to install everything but the well. So can anyone give me info on best pump, best place to purchase, should it be a submersible pump or should it be an aboveground centrifical type of pump? Any hellp on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Your teasing us with just a smidgen of information and asking us for in depth advice. What is the diameter of the well? What is the depth of the well? What is the vertical distance from the water surface to the ground level of the well? Give us the details of your irrigation system quote to understand the demand your putting on your well. How far away is your well? length of mainline to your zone control valves. Are you going to to all the installation work for the pump and irrigation system yourself?
