Drip question...emitter tubing

Can anyone tell me if I can connect 1/4" solid tubing (running to individual emitters) from 1/2" emitter tubing (with holes spaced every 18")? Is it possible to plug holes in the 1/2" emitter tubing in areas where there are no plants? Thanks!

I have never done this but I don't see why not the the hole punch tool for drip line connectors. It really depends on the material of the tubing. If it is the standard poly tube I think you can. You do know that less water will continue down the drip line and out of the drip line emitters. Let us know how it works out. aloha

If it is the poly tubing that you have made your own holes then yes, you will need goof plugs. If you have the in-line drip tubing then no because they are usually a different size hole than usual drippers.
