So this weekend we installed a 40' bed of native, xeric-ish plants in our front yard along the curb. We currently have Hunter pro-spray pop ups in that area and, of course, they're now a bit too short to properly irrigate the area.

I assume we have to replace each pop up body with, most likely, a 6" pop up (perhaps 12, but that might be too high). A couple of questions: 1) Can we use the exising nozzles on a new pop up head? 2) Is this a job for a DIYer who's never installed sprinklers or should we just hire it out?
