I need to replace the female adapter in my garden hose. It will connect to the hose bib. Is brass or plastic better for this?

I seem to have bad luck with metal connections...However, I've read that cheap metals, as in the typical garden hose, tend to "warp"..

Is brass worth it?

Or should I just go with plastic?
