sprinklers below ground level & tilted...

I have had my inground system for about 13 yr. & continually have the problem of having to dig sprinklers up each spring bc they are sinking below ground level & some are tilted & spraying either upward or downward. I saw a devise called "sprinkler savers" & it looks like it might work. They are expensive for me since I have over 80 sprinklers. Has anyone tried these or does anyone know of a cheaper remedy, maybe something I can make.

I would continue doing what you are doing except maybe compact the soil around the the bottom half of the sprinklers before you bury them.
