At home, I use regular in-ground irrigation with sprinklers for the lawn, plus drip irrigation for the flowerbeds. But I recently discovered a new and easy system. Just CLICK HERE and bookmark the page. This guy is a genius. For container gardening, nothing is easier.

    BDE,

Check out the Automatic Watering System Earthtainers espoused on the Container Forum for years. This gutter system utilizes that system in a different way. I use this system in 18-gallon and 24-gallon containers to grow tomatoes but I use rope wicks instead of soil baskets. Experimenting this year with wicks, so far so good. I am eating garden fresh tomatoes already. The watering reservoir is beneath the soil and has a on-off float into the reservoir which is filled from a separate 36-gallon water reservoir. The tomatoes tubs use about a gallon-a-day.

    My system:

    Thanks for info. Aloha
