You need to run the water into a settling pond first, to get the sand out, and pull water from inside a plastic barrel in that pond so you don't suck sediment.

Your other option would be to forget trying to run sprinklers and just dump water out of a grid of hoses or pump it into irrigation ditches in the orchard.

You don't want gear driven sprinklers or sprinklers with tiny holes. Look into impact rotors.
