1. what is the water going to be used for? You said lawn, so that one is easy. Any place else?
2. How far away is the RB?
3. How do you envision it being applied to where ever it is going. Lawn would be sprinklers another easy one.
4. How much rainfall do you get?
5. How big (gallons)or(CF)or (Liters) is the rain barrel? or is it a cistern (underground storage)?
6. How far off the ground is the rain barrel?
7. Are you allowed to use gray water in your neighborhood?
8. Is your zone 1A? Is that Canada?

Pressure and friction loss controls all items of your system. Pump size etc.

100 sf of lawn, one inch depth per week is 63 gallons of water per week to irrigated your lawn.
