I do not know haw long to water the zones in a greenhouse

I have a greenhouse with 8 zones. each zone has different types of plants in it. 1 for trees, 2 ferns, 3 tropical plants, 4 small herbacious plants like coleus and geraniums, 5 cacti, 6 climing vines liker airpotato, 7 ferns, 8 seed starting. I don't know how much water these plants need. if anyone has any ideas on how long to set the watering timer for it would be appreciated. the watering is an over head mister that is about 4 ft off of the plants

Water to the proportion of the root ball. Young plants have small roots and big mature plants with big root balls need more water. Different plants have different root systems. Go on the other forums that discuss these topics and find out what your plants need. What is your flow(gpm) and pressure(psi) he main source to the greenhouse? To know or find out this info is to know everything. Find out why. Aloha

Turn all the zones OFF.

Get a moisture meter and use it, and watch the plants.

When the plants in one zone look slightly water stressed, run their zone long enough to thoroughly soak the rootball. Record how long it took.

After a few of these cycles, you should have it figured out.
