Spray Nozzles for Rainbird 1800 pop up spray heads

I am replacing my really old Toro pop up spray heads with the Rainbird 1800 series pop ups. I have had a lot of trouble with the Toro ones remaining up and getting broken by the lawn mower. I will need to buy new spray nozzles since the Toro ones are not compatible. Does anyone know if there is a DIFFERENCE in the SPRAY PATTERN between the Rainbird MPR nozzles that you buy at irrigation supply houses and the Rainbird nozzles you can buy at Lowe's that have part numbers such as 12FC1? Are there any other differences I might need to know? Thanks for your help.
