drip irrigation question and advice.

I am building my first drip irrigation system. I have a small garden with about 38 rows 10' long each. My plan is to run 3/4" pvc out to the garden from the water source and along the rows. At each row I will have a 'T' which will direct water to each row. I want to use dripline which will be buried since I cover the rows in plastic. I read that the closer the spacing of the emitters in the dripline the better, so I have decided to go with a 6" spacing. To do this the only dripline I could find is 1/4" diameter. I am looking for a good clean way to adapt the 3/4" pvc to a 1/4" barb so I can connect the dripline. Does anyone know of such a connector. I can do it with multiple reducers but I'm trying to keep it as simple and cheap as possible since this is my first time.

What is your opinion on dripline spacing? will 12" spacing wet the ground in between the emitters? seems like too much distance.

Thanks, Victor.
