planning for new sprinkler system

Hi All.

I'm having a rainbird sprinkler system installed in a couple weeks. My entire yard should be 100% covered.

My problem is I may add some planting beds around the foundation of my house in the future.

My sales guy said just outline the areas with paint for future planting beds. He says they will ensure coverage for those areas.

Did anyone else do this? Did it work for you? I don't want to add/remove sprinkler heads later. FYI. I already have planting beds on the front of my house.

Also, they plan to connect at the water spicket (he says I won't loose the spicket). It would cost a little extra to run the connection back to the water main. He says the water pressure would be a little less at the spicket, but it shouldn't make much difference.

Any advice here?

Also, the controller will be located in the garage. Sounds reasonable to me.

Any other tips you can share would be appreciated.
