| when i turn on my sprinkler in manual, the pump won't kick on.i don't get any power showing from the relay to the pump but i do have power to main selinoid. when i first started looking for loose selinoid connections the pump kicked on just for a quick secound and then that was it....nothing now.i checked the power in the relay box and it seems to have power there but not to the pump motor. could it be a bad relay now because of that? |

| uncleskeeter, the relays that I have experience with are activated by a solenoid, triggered by a low voltage current from the clock. The plunger of the solenoid then closes the high voltage switch to start the pump. Very carefully, observe whether the solenoid is functioning, or whether you have a blown fuse in the relay box. I am leaning towards the latter because you say that the pump started up momentarily. You are going to beat this thing aren't you? |
