Hi all,

I currently have a well irrigation system with a 1HP pump with a simple Intermatic timer (the kind with the small brass pins to turn the pump on and off) and after the pump there is an indexing valve that then goes out to the four zones. I have 120V AC coming into the pump timer and then power, not sure at what voltage, going out to the pump. Essentially, all the timer does is turns the pump on and off. I need to replace the timer. Is this the ONLY kind of timer that can be used for this type of setup? I notice there are cheaper timers, but they appear to be wired to each valve in the system. Can this kind of timer be used in my setup? Any help would be appreciated, just trying to save some $$ here!
