Hi All,

I am doing lasagna gardening and the soil on top is all dried out due to lots and lots of wind. So I put in jugs with little holes around the top and the bottoms cut off as deep as I could get them, and the water just runs right out of them.

Is this ok? Is it running below the surface to where the roots are and therefore ok? I have not been able to find out how this is supposed to work.
