At first I thought this was a trick question. Then maybe a rhododendron forum question. Then I came back to maybe it is an irrigation question. Then I thought maybe they heard that their was chemicals that came from the A/C that is harmful to the Rhod and the environment. Then I looked at the big picture. Here is what I came up with. The winters in your state are far for harmful to your plant than a little extra water. Next having a plant and dripping water close to your house foundation probably is the next harmful. Here is what I recommend. Dig a 12" diameter by 24" deep condensation pit filled with gravel and pipe your A/C outlet water to the pit. Dig the pit about 2 feet away from the Rhod plant. The roots will love the deep moist soil from the pit. The plant will grow too big next to your house and you will have to chop it down. So you see it doesn't really matter. Let it drip on the plant. stonejm, judging from what I see, I do believe that the ground will stay too wet for the Rhododendron plant.
