i am thinking of conecting one zone to another one that only uses 2 heads so they will run at the same time instead of being next in line to kick on.i capped of some heads so i can add more.i'm wodering if anybody knows of a wiring diagram or do i need one to do it.my thought is to splice each wire into the zone that i want to add.

Why not just take the one valve out?

wouldn't it stop working then? i want the two valves(zones)to run at the same time instead of one.

uncleskeeter, I am thinking that if you connect the two zone wires to the same terminal at the clock, that ought to do what you are asking. BUT I am not sure what the electrical consequences might be. Two solenoids will be drawing current through a connection that is designed to feed only one. Hopefully the clock has a protection fuse and that you have a spare fuse in case you need it.

ronalwn, that's a good thought,i would have to check that out first.i thought of that, after the fact too.i found out when they connected all the wires to the selinoids, instead of putting them in a box, they just buried the wires in the sand around the pump.what were they thinking? after locating the wires i must have pulled on some too hard and now i can't get the pump to start.what do you think happened now? thanx

uncleskeeter, I cannot begin to speculate what they were thinking. My best suggestion is to dig around the area to expose the buried equipment. It could be that only one wire was disconnected but it was one that would tell the pump to start regardless of which zone was activated. You sound like someone who would be able to trouble shoot this with ease. Dig as an archaeologist would; very, very carefully. Not like I would!
