I have a number of Richdel Model 100 heads in my orchard. They are workhorses but I also needed a few replacement nozzles. I figured it was just easier to try some different nozzles than go through the hassle of digging up and replacing otherwise quite functional sprinklers.

Rain Bird and Toro nozzles will fit the heads, but the patterns aren't giving me the full 15 ft. range. I'm in the process of trying some Weathermatic 15F nozzles advertised as direct replacements. I'll post a review after they have been in service for a while.

A little trial an error may work with a considerable amount of time to work out the details. Quicker to dig up the heads and replace with a similar type easily obtained. A landscaper/irrigation contractor can do it pretty quickly and affordable if you get three quotes to verify the best local price. It is also a good job for your local teenager that is looking to make a little money this summer(of course with close oversight on your part). JMHO Aloha

irritrol is the company that now owns richdel so their heads may be compatable. If you want to just replace the guts I would buy just one as a test but my preferance is to just replace the head due to probable wear of the seals unless the caps will also match.

In general terms the head refers to the whole sprinkler assembaly/ body, cap, riser and nozzel. Guts refers to the riser and nozzel. Where possible it is best when replacing the guts to also replace the cap due to wear or damage to the wiper seal in the cap.
