Current and Voltage On Control Lines

Hello all,

I�m helping to design a product with 3 relays to be used in home automation systems. Some of our customers would like to use these relays to trigger their sprinkler systems, so now I�m trying to find out how much voltage and current we need to handle to control any sprinkler system.

Do most sprinkler controllers have control lines that our relays could easily be connected to?

How much current flows through these lines?

How much voltage is across them?

Any help would be very much appreciated.
